Tired of looking like you’ve just been shocked by 100 volts of electricity?

Frizz has a sneaky way of ruining any hair look you go for. But fortunately, it doesn’t necessarily indicate bad hair health and naturally occurs in all hair types. Though the more damaged, dry, and mistreated the hair, the more challenging it can be to control the frizz.

Most conventional anti-frizz treatments contain harsh chemicals that can weigh hair down. With these DIY hair masks for frizz control, you can maintain bounce, curl, and volume without having to worry about a bunch of strays flying loose.

Benefits of a Hair Mask

Each DIY hair mask for frizzy hair will carry a unique set of ingredients that will have a variety of benefits. But what they all have are nutrient-dense fruit, vegetables, and oils. The Amino acids will moisturize hair and strengthen it to eliminate frizz.

What you can expect from using your hair mask regularly:

  • Reduced frizz
  • Natural shine
  • Softer hair
  • Doesn’t tangle easily
  • Manageable curls and texture
  • Added moisture
  • Healthier scalp
  • Reduced breakage/damage

Hair masks are the ideal supplement to doing what conditioners can’t and the key to taming stubborn frizz.

How to Apply Anti-Frizz Hair Mask

How to Apply Anti-Frizz Hair Mask

The DIY hair masks in this article are luscious and creamy and apply effortlessly. The goal is to prep the hair for maximum absorption so these clean ingredients can restore, repair, and improve frizzy hair.

Apply your DIY hair mask to clean hair. The shampoo will break down oil, dirt, and buildup in the hair and scalp. Once that’s removed, the follicle has space to drink up nourishing oils and botanicals. Your clean hair can be dry or damp when applying the mas. Divide your hair into 4 parts (or more if you’ve got really thick hair). Massage the mask from scalp to tip. Wear a towel around your shoulders to catch the excess. Once your hair is completely covered, run your finger or a wide-toothed comb through each section, then twist the section and pin toy our scalp and cover with a bonnet, shower cap, or cotton shirt.

Since you’re using safe, natural ingredients, you can leave the mask on for 20 minutes to a few hours. Rinse with cool water and repeat two to three times a month.
