September 27, 2017 by Andrea Leave a Comment

Product: Old Orchard Apothecary No. 20 Aqua EmulsionHow Long Have I Used the Product? 2 Months

This hybrid, multi-purpose emulsion for body, hands, and hair blends the benefits of a gentle moisture milk with the instant, cool hydration of an oil-free gel. A unique, silky formula nourishes from head to toe with a blend of oat, aloe, and coconut extracts, while the uplifting citrus aromas of blood oranges, bergamot, and yuzu lift mind and spirit like a sunny summer afternoon.

About The Brand

Old Orchard is artisan skin & body care that blends time-honored natural ingredients with fresh, effective formulation. In 2011, artist and founder Amy Traynor moved from NYC to small town New Hampshire in pursuit of a simpler way of life. Her journey closer to nature reconnected her to a holistic approach to health, wellness, and beauty, and she began formulating products that work in harmony with the body and mind to heal and restore balance. Old Orchard was born from a desire to create, to fuse art and science, and to share the gift of healthy, natural beauty.

My Review

old orchard apothecary aqua emulsion clos-up

This is a multi-purpose, nice and light moisturizer for the face, hair, and body.  I have used the Aqua Emulsion in my hair and on my skin. I like the way it feels in my hair, it offers just the right amount of moisture, without being heavy or greasy.

My favorite use of the Aqua Emulsion is on my skin after being out in the sun. My daughter’s and I used this product on our shoulders after we were out in the sun too long, it really helped soothe and cool our sunburns.

Old Orchard Apothecary’s Aqua Emulsion is perfect for anyone who wants a simple morning routine. I like to rub the Aqua Emulsion on my hands in the morning for a quick moisture boost. It isn’t sticky and absorbs well.

Final Thoughts

old orchard apothecary aqua emulsion product review

I like this product. I was intrigued to try it, as I haven’t seen many products like it. I like that it is so lightweight. The scent in lovely and uplifting.

You can use the Aqua Emulsion as an aftershave, which I have yet to try, but I am sure it would feel great. Any irritation or dryness would be soothed.

In the hair, the Aqua Emulsion can be used to detangle, moisturize, or define curls. I like to use a few pumps in my hair when it is still damp to help give my hair a bit of texture and shine.

    • Multi-purpose
    • Lightweight, gel formula
    • Lovely citrus scent
    • Soothing and gentle
    • Provides moisture without heaviness
    • No sticky feeling

Cons:

    • Might not be moisturizing enough for really dry skin.
