6 Organic Liquid Eyeliners That Will Last All Day

July 20, 2018 by Caroline Leave a Comment

Want a non-toxic liquid eyeliner? See the top 6 best organic liquid eyeliners that will last all day and give you that superb cat-eye!

As you most likely know, your skin and its membranes are deeply porous. Meaning: what you put on your face everyday transfers into the body. The mucous membranes of the eyes have shown to absorb the product, so the next logical question is: what do you wear on your eyes?

Many non-organic liquid eyeliners contain parabens or phthalates – two ingredients that have been researched as linked to cancer. Other ingredients can be super harsh and irritating, causing redness and upset.

Even though applied over a small surface area, some apply eyeliner inside the eye. The typical black pencil liner contains polyethylene, a dangerous bonding agent, and parabens, mineral oil, and paraffin.

Liquid eyeliners often have propylene glycol, and some contain DMDM—the scariest of the above because it releases formaldehyde upon contact with the body (O’Connor & Spunt).
