I have found the socket unit in this device very disappointing. I have had to replace it once at great expense and now the second plug in part of the unit is acting up. Why do the manufacturers go to the trouble of producing a good product with cheap and inefficient attachments.

Hi Marie, the vegetable glycerin I recommend is from the brand, NOW. You can get it on Amazon.
I have not tried the aloe vera gel, but from what I have read, it can dry up quickly on the skin. I would suggest reapplying if you find it dries to fast, you need the slip that it provides.
