Regardless of the products you are using, if you don’t include a good cleansing routine for your skin, it will never get the glow and clarity you are looking for. It’s true, good, organic, high-quality products are essential but you need to be cleansing your skin well and regularly in order to remove the dead cells and let the pores breathe.
This being said, it is proven that hand washing removes 6 times less dirt and dead cells from your skin when compared to exfoliating brushes. This is why here we would like to present the top 5 cleansing brushes we choose among many on the market that are true miracle makers when it comes to cleansing the pores effectively.
5 Best Facial Cleansing Brushes
SKINFUN IPX7 WATERPROOF CLEANSING BRUSH
This lightweight, waterproof cleansing brush has many satisfied customers behind it. This is due to its resistance and power of cleansing facial and body skin with the specialized parts that come with it. Namely, it holds four different brushes plus a massaging attachment that you can use for the relaxation of different parts of your body.
Firstly, it has a facial cleansing brush that is strong enough to exfoliate dead skin and dirt, but soft enough to nourish your skin and not to forcefully scratch it.
The next brush is the body brush which is larger than the facial one, firmer too, however, judging by the experiences of users and our research we’ve found out that its con is its softness. Namely, it isn’t hard enough to exfoliate every part of the skin on your body because not all parts are as sensitive as the facial skin. However, it does the trick with a little bit more time.
The third brush is actually a small sponge said to massage and clean your face, but there’s one other great feature about it. It’s great for applying foundation on your face. By circling in round motions the sponge will help your skin absorb the foundation well without creating any excess shine. While it will change the color and go darker after few uses, it is super easy to wash after each use.
The last brush isn’t a brush actually but a pumice stone used for peeling the accumulated dead skin off of your heels and feet. It stays sharp even after many uses.
What we loved about all these brushes is that they are very easy to maintain and clean after each use.
Pros:
- Sponge brush easy to apply makeup with
- Unit will stop automatically when brush rotation is blocked, extending the products lifespan
- Pumice stone stays sharp
- Brushes easy to maintain
- One year warranty
- Cheap price
- Waterproof
Cons:
- Very soft body brush that doesn't exfoliate well
- Empties the batteries fast
CLARISONIC MIA 1 CLEANSING BRUSH SYSTEM
The Mia Facial Cleansing System is among the most recommended ones for clearing your skin out of pimples and breakouts because it uses an ultra-effective skin brush that removes dead cells by vibration. It will dramatically improve the quality of your skin, remove the redness and even out the tone of the skin.
This Clarisonic won’t spin like other cleansing brushes do, which is very nice for those who have extra sensitive skin and cannot stand the spinning motion of the other brushes. By vibrating you get to control how much you move throughout the skin, the speed and the intensity.
What is really loved about this product is its smaller more compactable size making it easy to carry around whether you travel or just going to the store.
It comes with a charger, the Clarisonic Mia 1 cordless body, and a Radiance skin brush. One thing we noticed from the users of the cleanser is that the Radiance skin brush doesn't satisfy them completely, which is why there’s another attachable brush that can be purchased and is called Delicate. This cleanses the skin more thoroughly.
It’s also very easy to clean after each use. You can just pour boiling water over it to make sure no bacterium stays for the next use.
Pros:
- Vibrating instead of rotating – good for overly sensitive skin
- Brushes easy to maintain
- Lightweight – great for traveling with
- Waterproof
- One year warranty
- Leaves your face feeling soft, smooth, and clean
Cons:
- Expensively priced
- Radiance skin brush doesn’t work as expected – too soft on the skin
- Have to purchase another facial brush: Delicate
ESSENTIAL SKIN SOLUTIONS CLEANSING BRUSH
The third face cleansing system that we want to review is by Essential Skin Solutions.
By experience, we can say that this cleansing brush is for you if you have large pores that accumulate oil and turn into blackheads that you cannot get rid of. Namely, any other way of removing blackheads it either inefficient or is very rough to the skin, leaving scars and redness that take days to go away.
The essential skin solutions cleansing brush comes with a large firmer brush used for exfoliating the skin of the body, while there are 2 other smaller brushes that are made especially for the facial skin.
One is just slightly firmer and can be used for the cheeks, nose or whenever you have a dead skin to be exfoliated, and the second one is gentler for the more sensitive parts of the face. The pumice brush is great for summer heels and is advised to be used once a week for best results.
The larger body brush prevents ingrown hair and is best used for the areas you tend to shave. Another great pro about it is that it removes any acne, dirt, and blackheads from the back in under a month. So if you have problematic back skin, by using the essential skin solutions cleansing brush you will be able to wear backless tops and dresses in no time.
Lastly, this kit comes with a cordless unit, 3 brushes and a pumice brush for rough skin, making it a great option for both women and men.

- Two brushes for every facial skin type
- Body brush very effective for ingrown hair
- Helps to get rid of problematic back skin

Hi Monika,
Thank you for sharing.
The title of your article caught my attention because I already brush my body and my face, and wanted to see if eventually, you were recommending the brand I’m using;)
Anyway, I wanted to know how many times per week should one brush his or her face. I know that you can brush your body even every day, but you can clean your face only once per week. Is it the same for the brushes you’re recommending?
Hi Marta, You should start slow and work your way up. Start with using the brush 1 – 2 times a week. If you have dry or sensitive skin, 1 – 2 times a week might be the most you can do. Oily skin types can slowly work up to using a facial cleansing brush once a day.
