This is THE BEST Honey mask on the market!

Why is it the Best?

Because it is raw Manuka honey, not just any Manuka honey, but a high OMA (Organic Manuka Active) Manuka honey.

Only Manuka honey with a rating above 10 is considered active and suitable for therapeutic use.  A rating of 20+ is overkill, a rating of around 15 is ideal. Honey with this rating will have the most beneficial effects for your skin.

Each batch of Wedderspoon Manuka honey is tested for potency, so you are sure you are getting a fine product.

This type of honey is especially suited for topical use and contains strong antioxidant, oxygenating, exfoliating and humectant effects.

What is Manuka Honey?

Manuka Honey is obtained from beehives around the Manuka bush. This bush thrives in New Zealand.

Manuka honey is used as a food and as a topical wound healer. It has anti-bacterial and anti-fungal actions. Honey draws the water out of bacteria, making it impossible for them to survive.

What Makes it Different than Other Honey’s?

Methylglyoxal is an anti-bacterial compound found in Manuka honey that is not found in other honey’s. This compound gives this honey high anti-bacterial effects.

What Does it do to the Skin?

  • Wedderspoon 100% Raw Organic Manuka Honey Active 16+draws out impurities, toxins and bacteria from the pores
  • prevents and reduces acne and blemishes
  • promotes healing of the skin
  • contains lactic acid, which gently exfoliates and resurfaces
  • balances the PH of the skin and leaves it feeling oh so soft
  • is full of active antioxidants that neutralize free radicals
  • is a natural antiseptic and produces hydrogen peroxide, oxygenating and drawing out debris.

Clay masks can be overly drying to the skin. This honey mask nourishes and moisturizes the skin, it will not dry you out.

How To Use it as Mask

apply 2 – 3 times a week. You can leave this mask on for up to an hour, giving it lots of time to work it’s magic.

Bonus: This honey can be used as a cleanser or a mask! Or add it to your other facial masks.

Would I Buy This Product?

Most definitely YES! I want to see if this can replace the benzoyl peroxide I use to combat my acne. The oxygenating effects are what intrigue me the most, because that is what the benzoyl peroxide does to combat acne – it oxygenates the pores, killing the acne causing bacteria and chemically exfoliates the skin (the lactic acid in the honey will do this as well). So yes, I will be buying the product!

This looks like a great product. I’m a big fan of honey…one of nature’s perfect foods. It makes perfect sense that honey would make a great ingredient for a facial mask treatment. Do you find there is an increasing trend to include honey as a main ingredient in organic health care products?

I wouldn’t say I have noticed a trend of it being added to products but I do see that honey in general is becoming more popular, especially manuka honey 🙂 Thanks for stopping in Dave!

I’m a large promoter and regular user of honey myself and have had great results with it for issues unrelated to skin care. I didn’t know it was so great as a face mask, must add this one to my list of natural remedies.

Great info you’ve shared with us here, thanks a bunch.

    Best wishes.

Thanks for sharing the post. I have oily skin and tend to have acne from time to time when I travel in humid countries. My face seems to be okay in Europe, where the weather is less humid. I have acne scars on my face and I use honey from time to time after I wash my face at night and rince it off. I think I could try this product since honey works quite well to me.

    Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for stopping in Alex, honey makes such a nice mask. I would mix mine with clay, to get a deeper clean, the honey kept it from being too drying.
