Silica Skin Benefits : Heal your Skin From Within

March 13, 2016 by Maria 12 Comments

   Amazing Skin & Hair Benefits

In this article, we will be talking about the wonderful benefits of Silica gel for the skin and hair.

You have likely heard about Silica gel as an internal supplement. Few people know how truly amazing this gel is for the hair and connective tissues. It may come as a surprise to you that Silica liquid can also be used topically.

The Science Behind Silica

What is Silica?

Silica is a mineral found in the earth, made from a common type of mineral quartz. Silica is naturally present in the body, in levels that are even higher than other minerals like iron, but as people grow older, the amount of silica present in their tissues begins to decrease.

When we collect this mineral from the Earth, we can suspend the nutrient rich quartz flakes into different substances for consumption. The best way to ingest Silica is suspended in colloidal particles as its absorption is at its best.

A colloid is a stable dispersion of particles - particles that are small enough that gravity doesn't cause them to settle, but large enough not to pass through a membrane and allow other molecules and ions to pass freely. A very cool way to receive mineral quartz to the body.

Facts about Silica

  • Silicon is an essential trace element that comes from silica. It is required for the formation and maintenance of connective tissues in the body.
  • Silica is found in nature as sand or quartz and is not normally bioavailable.
  • Colliodal silica is superior in potency and purity than getting silicon from the herb horsetail (Equisetum arvense).
  • Silicon increases tissue levels of hydroxyproline, a key amino acid required for collagen and elastin synthesis.
  • Silicon improves the firmness and strength of connective tissues and cartilage, along with skin, nails, and hair.
  • Silica is not silicone. Silicone is an inert, synthetic compound for industrial uses.

Silica is Essential to our Body

How you Know if your Body is Deficient in Silica?

Silica is an essential mineral that our body needs, supplying our cells with nutrients. Silica is vital for the sufficient binding of water in our cells. No other substance can bind 300 times its weight in water, something extremely crucial in anti aging-skin care. Keeping our skin hydrated.

You will start to see very noticeable symptoms with the lack of silica absorption through nutrition, including:

  • Loose, weak connective tissue
  • Skin impurities
  • Itchy skin
  • Dull, split hair
  • Hair loss
  • Cracked nails
  • Problems with teeth and gums
  • Weak or damaged tendons and ligaments
  • Pronounced wrinkles

Silica is One of the Most Affordable Natural Anti-Aging Products on the Market

Benefits of Silica for the skin and hair

There is nothing more effective than working from the inside out in helping with the aging process. Why? Silica is ultimate in connective tissue repair, and is exactly what our skin needs to stay strong and healthy.

As we grow older, the amount of Silica present in our tissues begins to decrease. This natural decrease in Silica levels can have detrimental effects on the body’s organ systems and tissues. Since the skin is our largest organ we want to be sure we are supplying the body with these nutrients.

Silica is more affordable than most any anti-aging serum or cream on the market.

When you use Silica to repair collagen and elasticity, you also get all the other benefits of tissue repair for the whole body. This includes organ tissues, ligaments, and proteins, including the hair.

Benefits of Silica for the Hair and Skin

Silica acts as a glue, it sits inside collagen, providing strength, flexibility and resilience to connective tissues.

Silica also creates bonds between the protein molecule that are responsible for the skin’s natural ability to retain water, which is critical for repair and cell renewal.

  • Silica helps to regenerate the skin
  • Silica helps delay the aging process
  • Strengthens hair with luster and suppleness
  • Helps the hair grow stronger and faster
  • Regulates blood circulation and strengthens blood vessels crucial for spider veins
  • Natural anti-inflammatory, can help with eczema and psoriasis
  • Gives your skin a glow because it is a strong carrier of oxygen, and it increases the transport of both nutrients and oxygen to the skin
  • Within 12 weeks you should see significant results, such as a brighten complexion and firmer skin
  • Silica helps the body to achieve hormonal balance, which in turn helps reverse hair thinning and loss
  • Carries nutrients to the hair follicles ensuring they are supplied with all the vital minerals necessary for hair growth and vitality

My Own Experience with Silica

Plus a Bonus Recipe and How to Use Silica

I have used Silica off and on throughout my life, with amazing results. When I was younger I liked to go on a 3-month program at a time. However, at this point in my life I have included Silica every day as I am now showing signs of aging, and the Silica in my body is declining.

I always get comments on my hair and how healthy it looks, my nails are strong and healthy, and my skin is still tight and supple. I want to prevent deep lines and wrinkles the best I can, and Silica is going to help me achieve that. Also, with the other added benefits Silica will provide the rest of my body, you can't go wrong.

Silica Face Mask Recipe

Silica face mask

One of my favorite face masks, All you need is:

  • Hubner Silica Gel
  • Bentonite Clay*
  • Water

Directions:

  • Combine half a table spoon of both Bentonite Clay and Silica. Mix together. If your clay isn't getting moist enough just add a little water to get a nice consistency.
  • Brush mask on with a clean application brush.
  • Leave on the skin for 10 minutes.
  • Rinse, and enjoy the smooth, hydrated, exfoliated and supple skin instantly.
  • I recommend including this Mask 2 times per week to your beauty routine!

* Don't have Bentonite Clay? Simply apply Silica on its own to the face for amazing results.

How to Take Silica Internally

It is very simple to take Silica. Shake your bottle well before use, take 1 Tablespoon daily, between meals. Silica is like Aloe Vera gel with a little more texture and almost no flavor at all.

Conclusion

I always use the best and I know I get the best with Hubner Original Silica Gel.

There is no good reason not to add Silica to your skin care regime, especially for anti-aging skin care. Get on the program NOW! and heal your skin from within.

promoting a mineral supplement as organic is a bit dodgy. a mineral has no choice but to be organic!

That is a good point. I guess what Maria means is that this is a healthy mineral.

Great article on the benefits of Silica for your skin. I’ve heard of Silica before but I always thought it was only supposed to be applied topically. I had no idea that it could be taken orally as well. I didn’t know that Silica can bind 300 times its weight in water. Silica sounds great but are there any side effects associated with this mineral?

Silica truly is a super food for the skin as well as internally. It is a very safe supplement to take as the body naturally produces it. Most of us lack Silica in the body, so supplementing is crucial. Of course you need to follow the recommended dose for internal use as with any supplement. Thanks for the comment and question!

    Hi Maria,
What are the scientific sources you may use to sustain the claims behind the use of silica for hair and skin? I’ve the feeling it is more traditional use than real scientific investigation.
    Thanks for your help!

Hi Mary, Silica is not supposed to be used internally during pregnancy and breastfeeding, so I would avoid using it topically as well 🙂

Years ago I stood all day at work and my feet suffered terribly, I had very sore sections causing extreme pain especially on padded area near toes, a colleague suggested I take silicea, well after just three weeks the pain was completely gone. Also helps with plantar faceitis. Just one more benefit of this amazing product.
