rose clay benefits for the skin

Clay has been used to cleans skin since man discovered mud. Nutrient-dense soil is used to deeply cleanse, buff, and brighten all skin types.  The most common clays used in skincare include rose clay, bentonite, kaolin, Brazillian, and sea clay. What separates rose clay skin benefits from that of its peers are its delicacy and refinement.

Many clays are too rough for a lot of people’s sensitive or dry skin and can result in tine Microderm abrasions. To the human eye, these just look like bright red skin. But using clay that isn’t appropriate skin type can result in chronic dryness, uneven skin pigmentation, and will encourage the onset of fine lines and wrinkles. Essentially, the wrong clay can do everything opposite of what you want your skincare to achieve.

Rose clay skin benefits are anti-aging, balancing, smoothing, and rejuvenation without the risk of over-exfoliating.

What is Rose Clay?

Rose clay, sometimes referred to as pink clay, is a natural kaolinite clay that can be sourced from soils that exist in moist climates including Brazil, Bulgaria, France, the United Kingdom, Iran, Germany, India, Australia, and a few other countries.

Unlike other clays, the texture and mineral content of rose clay keep it from overdrying skin. Many clays can completely strip the surface layer. Though this can feel like a deep cleanse it’s actually quite harsh for most skin types.

what is rose clay

Rose Clay Skin Benefits

Rose clay is soft, earthy, and mild on the skin. It absorbs impurities and gently exfoliates the skin making it great for one-time use. But if you were to add rose clay as a regular part of your skincare, here are some rose clay skin benefits you can expect.

Balance Oil Production

Like a snug little skin vacuum, rose clay absorbs excess dirt, oil, and sebum. As it dries, the clay pulls impurities that get lodged deep within pores. For the skin, this is like pressing the reset button helping restore a balance in oil production. Follow up a rose clay mask with one of the best organic toners for ultimate oil-control.

Gentle Exfoliant

Rose clay gently polishes, smoothes, and physically exfoliates the skin. Unlike chemical exfoliants and harsh physical exfoliants-like beads, sugar, and scrubbing materials, rose clay is soft and doesn’t cause redness or irritation. Rose clay rolls the surface layer of dry, weak, and dead skin cells away. By delicately lifting the skin cells of the surface then absorbing the impurities of the new, fresh layer-your skin feels soft and renewed.

Rose clay has powerful absorptive properties but it simultaneously adds minerals. Rose clay frequently contains quartz, mica, feldspar, illite, and montmorillonite. These ingredients create a smoothing and softening appearance making the skin appear to have even texture.

Purify and Refine Pores

The more build-up of dirt, sebum, and pollutants that sink into pores, the bigger they look. Larger pores make skin look older, duller, and more textured than it would if rose clay was used regularly. A deep clean and pore-tightening reaction occurs almost immediately after the first use. Unlike with conventional skincare products, rose clay skin benefits are instantly noticeable.

Promote Skin Cell Regeneration

Rose clay is ideal for mature and aging skin that lacks elasticity and collagen. The application of detoxifying clay can stimulate cellular regeneration that slows as we get older. Over time, rose clay can aid in restoring impaired tissue function that allows the skin to automate its natural self-cleaning and balancing abilities that diminish with time.

Cellular regeneration is the “Benjamin Button” aspect of anti-aging skincare that is often sold for a pretty penny in the conventional skincare world. Serums, lotions, and masks are filled with chemicals and lab-made vitamin’s to help skin appear younger. Rose clay skin benefits come from the earth. They don’t require your liver and kidney to filter out toxic waste and they don’t create toxic build-up in the blood.

Improve Circulation and Elasticity

Exfoliating with or using a rose clay mask twice a week keeps skin rejuvenated. By improving circulation and skin cell production, fine lines and wrinkles become increasingly harder to form. Skin appears more lifted, plump, and firm.

Conventional tightening products can dry out mature and sensitive skin leaving it stripped of moisture and natural oils. Rose clay is delicate enough to actually encourage moisture retention with the added bounce to the skin.

Overview

Rose clay skin benefits are versatile and there’s plenty of them. To recap, here are the primary results you may expect with regular use:

  • Deep clean
  • Shrunken pores
  • Tightening
  • Brightening
  • Polished looking skin
  • Even complexion
  • Reduced texture
  • Decreased appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
