Winter Blues?
We are in it deep, the winter is alive and well. Cold and dryness are in full force, and yet, I feel chipper! Although this is a new feeling from a few weeks ago, I was feeling dull and frustrated. My skin was irritating me from the lack of moisture in the air. Sucking all the life out of it. I am sure some of you can relate.
Fortunately now, I am much less distressed. Like I said, Chipper! I have soothed and cured this burden on my shoulders, literally.
For the whole month of January I was really experiencing dryness. I was itchy on my neck, shoulders and face. Since I am well aware of the symptoms of dry skin, I was was able to identify the problem and start looking for a solution. MUST FIND MOISTURE!
I had recently done a $100 splurge on organic skin care, and I loaded up on some great products and samples. In those samples I got Pai Comfrey & Calendula Calming cream.
It was a very generous sample giving me the ability to really test it out. I am using it on my shoulders, neck and face.
Can I use a Body Cream on my Face?
Pai’s Calming cream is a body cream, but I have had intense dryness on my face. I found that the cream was exactly what I needed. I took a chance even when I saw that it was thick and juicy.
The good news is I have used it on my face for over a week, and I have had Zero bad reactions. My face absorbs it so nicely with out any greasy feeling left behind.
It has far exceeded my expectations. My face feels soft and supple. The result of a well hydrated face. I also have noticed that the redness and dry lines have improved.
Ingredients
The reason this cream works so well is because of the ingredients. I want to take a moment to show you how amazing some of them are.
Calendula. This vibrant plant has the ability to heal. It is rich in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties. Calendula will sooth irritated skin and help heal most minor skin concerns. It is highly effective in soothing acne and treating the wound.
Comfrey. From the Greek symphyo means to “make grow together”, referring to its traditional use of healing. This will help cell turnover and new skin production. Comfrey is one ingredient we can thank for giving us such smooth and supple skin. Comfrey has also been extremely helpful in treating eczema.
Jojoba Oil. The structure of jojoba oil closely resembles that of your own skin sebum, your skin’s own lubricating medium. This gives jojoba a natural affinity to the skin, and is readily absorbed without making the skin feel greasy or tacky nor does it clog the pores.
Texture and smell are both very pleasing. Their is a light jasmine smell, very subtle. The texture is whipped and thick. Give it 10 minutes and it will be well absorbed without any greasy residue.
I find I have been touching my face a lot more because it feels soft and smooth. Not a good habit in the long run (do not over touch your face, or at least be sure your hands are clean.)
Effective and hydrating ingredients make this cream work.
I have to say I am so pleased. I didn’t even really know why I chose this sample. I always wanted to try Pai Skin Care and I LOVE moisturizers. So I truly lucked out. This is a cream I don’t want to run out of. I have already been cautious to use just enough to keep it around longer. I will have to buy the full bottle.
Me Very Pleased
