When I was offered the opportunity to try Radha Organics, Radha Beauty’s new natural skincare line, I was excited! As a certified holistic health coach who is all about natural living and natural skincare products, I couldn’t wait to tear the boxes open. Before opening the box, I was reading the packaging and found a list that made me smile. It started by saying the beauty products are pure and natural.

Do your cosmetic or skincare packages say that they are pure and natural? Look at them and tell me what you see. Many beauty and skincare companies would never put this on their packaging because it wouldn’t be true.

Have you ever wondered why a company wouldn’t create options that are pure and natural or why this is important? I take this personally and I am always speaking to my clients about why they should also do this. Here is why.

As a holistic health coach, I understand that anything we put on our skin is absorbed into our bodies. Skin is our largest organ and like we take care of our heart and kidneys, it needs to be cleansed, purified, and supplied with options that cater to it’s wellness and preservation.

Why should we see skin as the organ it is? If you coat your skin with mineral oils, parabens, and chemicalized options, this is entering your body. I know we are taught that we should cover-up and make up but what about loving what we have and nurturing our body’s outer layer as it is. It’s our first layer of protection form the outside world. Why are we always taught to hide?

What we put in and on our bodies lay the foundation for our wellness and health and this is the number one focus here at Radha Beauty. Many companies use fillers and chemicals to give your skin the feeling of health when in reality, you are coating your skin with toxic and irritating chemicals and synthetics. Here at Radha Beauty, we focus on natural skincare products. We love Mother Earth and we respect the planet we live on because it loves us. What are some of the chemicals that beauty companies hide in their products?

Let’s start with mineral oils, an ingredient you won’t find in Radha Beauty’s natural skincare and beauty options. Mineral oil is often found in beauty products like moisturizers and skin cleansers. It’s used as an emollient and skin conditioning agent. Mineral Oil goes by many names such as petrolatum, paraffin oil, or liquid paraffin.

According to the Association of Occupational and Environmental Clinics, mineral oil has been linked to allergen responses and immune responses. What does this mean? Our body’s immune system has been found to be activated when this ingredient is introduced. Anything that causes the immune system to react means that your body and immune system is trying to protect you from an attack! Do not ignore this. This is how inflammation and disease can develop.

What about parabens? These are often hiding in lotions, sunscreens, cosmetics, and so much more! There are several types of parabens. They may be listed as ethylparaben, methylparaben, methyl ester, ethyl ester, or sodium salt. Regardless of the name, a pareben is a paraben.

Changing the name helps to hide the ingredient. This is why it is essential that you research ingredients before applying a product to your skin. This is why pure and natural means so much! Companies may try to sneak their chemicals into your products but if you do your duty, you will find their dirty secrets before they make it into your body.

According to the European Commission on Endocrine Disruption, parabens are linked to human endocrine disruption. What does this mean? Parabens can negatively impact the body’s hormonal system. Why should you avoid anything that disrupts your body’s hormonal system? Think about estrogen and testosterone. According to the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) endocrine disruptors, “…may interfere with the body’s endocrine system and produce adverse developmental, reproductive, neurological, and immune effects in both humans and wildlife.” Parabens have been linked to cancer development, lowered fertility, and endometriosis.

Are any of you pregnant or hoping to carry a child? How would you feel if your child was born sick or if you developed a condition because you chose skincare or cosmetics that were full of chemicals? Men, this affects you too! Don’t let your beauty choices affect your lifelong health.

Did you notice that the quote from the NIEHS also listed wildlife? Yes! This affects us and our pets. Have you seen Rebekah’s little cutie? Even pets are harmed when we use chemicalized options on them.

What natural skincare products are you using right now to cleanse, moisturize, and prevent breakouts? At Radha Beauty, you won’t find any parabens or mineral oils lurking inside our natural skincare product containers. You will only find pure and natural beauty ingredients. Try our Younger Face Moisturizer along with our Refreshingly Clean Cleanser and you will see why we are about pure and natural skincare products.

Why use anything else when you can use the most organic skincare on Earth?
