Natural Remedies for Wrinkles at Home

May 6, 2017 by Jessica 3 Comments

Do you want to know natural remedies for wrinkles at home? Let me tell you about amazing uses of olive oil, aloe vera, almonds, etc

Wrinkles are the common aging sign when we are getting old.  They are also caused by thin and saggy skin. Wrinkles often appear on the neck, face, tops of forearms, and backs of hands.

The natural aging process makes fibroblasts change and reduce the production of elastin and collagen, resulting in the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. Furthermore, premature wrinkles are also caused by the use of certain drugs, smoking, overexposure to sunlight or environmental pollution, sudden weight loss, excessive stress, and genetic predisposition.

Whatever the causes of wrinkles are, there are a number of amazing natural remedies for wrinkles at home I would like to introduce to you in this article.

Natural Remedies For Wrinkles At Home You Should Know

1. Olive Oil

Olive oil is often used as an excellent massage oil for your skin. It is loaded with antioxidants such as vitamins A and E that are effective in preventing the effects of free radicals on your skin. Furthermore, olive oil contains moisturizing properties; therefore, regular application of olive oil can protect your skin, regenerate skin cells and keep it moisturized.

You can apply some olive oil directly to your skin or mix a few drops of olive oil with a few drops of honey and glycerin and then apply it. The mixture of olive oil, honey and glycerin can tighten sagged skin and remove dead skin cells.

2. Aloe Vera

Malic acid present in the aloe vera plant has the ability to improve the elasticity of your skin, thus reducing wrinkles on your skin.

If you have wrinkles and fine lines, you just need to apply some aloe vera gel to your skin and leave it for 15 minutes before rinsing it off with lukewarm water. For the more satisfactory result, you can combine one teaspoon of aloe vera gel and the content of a vitamin E capsule.

3. Fenugreek

Fenugreek seeds, leaves, and oil are beneficial for your skin. They can be used to treat many skin problems like wrinkles and fine lines. Fenugreek leaves are effective in treating wrinkles and fine lines because they are loaded with minerals and vitamins.

If you have wrinkles and fine lines, you just need to grind fenugreek leaves to create a thick paste and then apply this paste to your face. Leave it overnight. In the morning, you can rinse it off with lukewarm water.

4. Ginger

High antioxidant properties make ginger an effective home remedy for wrinkles and fine lines.  Using ginger can help boost the production of elastin and collagen in the skin. Mix a pinch of grated ginger with some honey and then consume this mixture every morning.

5. Almonds

Applying almond paste to your skin can reduce wrinkles and fine lines because almonds are loaded with vitamin E, fiber, zinc, iron, folic acid, calcium, and oleic acid – all compounds that are effective in delaying the aging process.

You can soak two or three almonds in water, which makes it easy to remove the skin. Grind them to create a thick paste and then apply this paste to your existing wrinkles and fine lines. Let it sit for about 20 to 30 minutes and then rinse it off with lukewarm water.

It is recommended you apply this paste on a daily basis to get a satisfactory result. Almonds are also an effective home remedy for dark circles around your eyes.

6. Lemon Juice

Lemon juice is a great source of citric acid; therefore, applying lemon juice can help get rid of dead skin cells. The cleansing and astringent effects of lemon juice are effective in removing dark circles, wrinkles, and fine lines.

You can apply a little bit of lemon juice to your skin and then wash it off with water after 15 minutes. If you have a dry skin type, you can make a mixture by mixing each teaspoon of lemon juice, vitamin E oil, honey, and yogurt.

7. Carrot

Carrot is rich in vitamin A that can help boost the production of elastin and collagen. People who add carrot to their diet often have smooth skin.

Furthermore, to get rid of wrinkles and fine lines, you can mix carrot juice and honey in equal quantities and then apply the mixture to the skin every morning. Leave it for about 10 minutes and then wash it off with lukewarm water.

8. Pineapple

Pineapple treats wrinkles and fine lines by increasing skin elasticity and moisturizing the skin. This fruit is a great source of vitamins, fibers, and antioxidants that are beneficial for skin health.

If you have existing wrinkles and fine lines, you can rub the pineapple flesh on those areas. Allow it to sit for 20 minutes and then wash it off with lukewarm water.

9. Cucumber

Wrinkles are often caused by the lack of adequate moisture. The wrinkles and fine lines may form faster especially when your skin is delicate.

A good solution is to apply some cucumber slices to the affected skin areas. If you want to have a satisfactory result, you should repeat treatment on a regular basis.

10. Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is effective in nourishing and moisturizing your skin. Furthermore, it can treat and prevent wrinkles and fine lines. Coconut oil is loaded with many nutrients that are beneficial for your skin health.

You just need 10 minutes of gentle massaging daily to get the best result. Coconut oil is safe to be used on the delicate skin around your eyes. Therefore, coconut oil is also considered as an effective home remedy for dark circles around your eyes.

Conclusion

I introduced 10 natural home remedies for wrinkles and fine lines at home. You should try all those remedies and find the best one for you. However, the best ways for preventing the aging signs include a good lifestyle, a healthy diet, an 8-hour sleep and 8 glasses of water consumption.
