Fragrances can be one of the most toxic chemicals in your personal care products. Hundreds of different ingredients can be hidden under the term “fragrance”. Many fragrance ingredients are known neurotoxins.
Synthetic fragrances in perfume can cause a host of problems, including, throat irritation, headaches, dizziness, coughing, muscle pain, irritability, plus many others. Click here to learn more about the dangers of fragrance.
Humans love to smell great and this is why, if you want to avoid over-exposure to these often dangerous chemicals, you need to find natural perfumes without chemicals.
Natural perfumes use essential oils for their naturally derived aromas - these are the scents that synthetic chemicals try to mimic. Why mimic, when you can have what nature already made? Natural is often more expensive then synthetic, but you are so worth it.
All Natural Perfume Brands
There are a handful of natural perfume brands that I love. I am going to share them with you here:
Tsi-La Organics
Uses only 100% natural ingredients in their perfumes, including: therapeutic grade essential oils, active plant botanicals, and organic fruits and herbs. No coloring agents or preservatives are used, and they are not tested on animals.
My Favorite: Fleur Sauvage - A sultry, floral fragrance infused with tuberose, neroli, bergamot, jasmine petals and rich blonde woods.
Tsu-Li Perfumes are available on Amazon or Spirit Beauty Lounge.
Strange Invisible Perfumes
Wild-crafted, certified organic, bio-dynamic and and hydro-distilled essences combine into hand-crafted blends that are then aged for a minimum of 6 months. These perfumes are hand-bottled into a base of custom-distilled Esprit de Cognac in Venice, California.
They have a lovely zodiac collection, one perfume for each of the zodiac signs.
My Favorite: Aquarian Rose - Wild Roses, Marjoram, and Sandalwood combine into one distinctly luxurious scent.
Strange Invisible Perfumes are available at Spirit Beauty Lounge and The Detox Market.
Lurk Made
Natural perfume oils are created using essential oils suspended in a pure jojoba oil base. No water or alcohol is used, nor do they contain chemical preservatives, stabilizers, or additives.
My Favorite: RSW005 Perfume Oil - Rose and Sandalwood with a crisp citrus finish.
Lurk Made Perfumes are available at The Detox Market.
Osmia Organics
A company that makes skin care products as well as natural perfumes, Osmia Organics makes their perfumes bu hand in small batches. Their scents are meant to be enjoyed by you, and those close to you. They are not overpowering, and do not take over a room.
They use essential oils, CO2 extracts, and absolutes in a base of either organic oils, or organic alcohol.
My Favorite: Cedar Smoke - White Cedar absolute, Frankincense, and a hint of smoke. A touch of Tuberose adds complexity, while Cedarwood and Fir round out the top notes.
Osmia Organics Perfumes are available at The Detox Market.
Lotus Wei
This company uses flower essences as the base for all of their products. These flower essences work on the subtle energy centers of our body, bringing us back into alignment.
Their perfumes are made with essential oils, transformative flower essences, and organic grape alcohol.
My Favorite: Infinite Love - Rose, Red Mandarin and Honey. This flower essence/perfume oil is meant for breaking through old patterns and magnifying gentleness, compassion, and softness.
Lotus Wei Is Available at The Detox Market.
Honore Des Pres
The world’s most Eco-friendly perfumery, their products are made with raw botanical ingredients. They create the most delicious and intoxicating blends that are free from phtalates, colorants, and synthetic chemicals.

Lina Hanson
Lina Hanson makes some of my favorite products. She has one perfume oil available, called “Satori” and it smells amazing! It is like an uplifting and grounding, warm and sweet spice. It contains Vanilla, Sandalwood, Yuzu, and Ginger essential oils, suspended in a fractionated coconut oil base.
Lina Hanson’s Satori is available at The Detox Market.
Well there you have it, a handful of exquisite perfumes that are sure to please. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
Which one would you choose? Do you have any favorite natural perfumes to share?

Hi Andrea, your site is soooooo awesome, love it 🙂 I currently have tons of allergies so I am well versed in toxicity etc. I have to abstain from so many things just to feel good. I cheat sometimes because it’s so hard watching every one else having a good tuck in, but I pay for it with hours.
My mum is allergic to perfume, she coughs so bad. Yet as far as I am aware, I am not; however in saying that, very strong perfumes give me instant migraines. I bought a very expensive perfume some years ago, it smelt lovely, but I had to give it away in the end.
I currently have two perfumes in my draw, which after reading this article, once they’re used up, I am definitely going to go natural. I’m not fully conversed with natural perfumes, so I’m going to take your word for it and buy your recommendation for my mum. Thank you so much 🙂
Thanks for taking the time to comment Sharon 🙂 That is terrible that you have to deal with allergies. I think that more and more people are becoming sensitive to the toxic junk that we literally surround ourselves with in this world. We have toxic food, toxic water, toxic air, and then we slather ourselves in toxic products.
I am not a fan of most perfumes, they make me feel yucky too. I hate it when I am in a store and someone near me is wearing really strong perfume, it permeates the room. It is hard to be around them.
These natural perfumes have much less staying power than conventional perfumes. This is because they are not using chemical fixatives to keep the scent from dissipating. I find that these perfumes are more for myself and those that I allow close to me. These perfumes are not going to waft through the whole room and let everyone know that I smell pretty (which is totally fine by me).
Another way to smell nice is to just use a couple drops of lavender oil on your wrists and then rub onto your neck. Lavender oil can be used straight on the skin, you don’t have to dilute it, and it smells lovely. Just make sure you get a pure essential oil, not a fragrance oil 🙂
