I have a bad, thin skin. The sun is damaging it.
Hi Dorinda,
The sun can be very damaging to the skin, Its a good idea to keep it well protected. Another tip I would recommend is that you use a collagen stimulating oil on the skin, to promote new cell turnover and try to get some healthy skin production. Start off with a gentle oil, like pomegranate seed oil, It also helps with UV protection! Follow the link I have provided for more information.

I have terrible spots due to pimples on my face, what can i use to clear them away am clueless have used many things to no avail. Please help
Hi Tendie,
I would like more information about your skin concern. Are these spots scarring from pimples? What is your current routine? To start I recommend you get into a great facial care routine. Washing your face, followed up with the proper after care. I would read through our Acne section for a whole lot of information. You will find excellent support there. Follow this link 🙂

Hi, I am 62 with very thin skin. Esp the arms. I have had to use steroids for medical reasons which makes the skin even thinner. I bruise with light touch. Scars on forearms. Any suggestions?
Debbie
Hi Debbie,
I am very familiar with the use of steroids and their effects on the skin. I would recommend that you use very nourishing ingredients that promote new skin growth as well as help strengthen the dermis in all layers. I would start with Shea butter and coconut oil. Another amazing oil would be Tamanu oil.
Use them as moisturisers, they will greatly improve the heath of your skin. We have written many articles on these ingredients. Use our search bar and read through for lots of great information.
Hope that helps,
Maria.
Hi, I would like to know what is good for acne and scarring on the face..
Hi Nohemi, Andrea here 🙂 Acne scars can be a real pain to get rid of, especially if they are deep. To treat scars, you must first treat the acne. I am personally using Moss Skincare to treat my acne and to keep my skin from scarring more. Another option is benzoyl peroxide.
For scarring, topical treatments such as oils and creams can only do so much. If you have bad scarring, you need more intensive treatments. Chemical peels can be a good way to resurface the skin. You can get at-home peels, but the type you would get from a dermatologist will be more effective. Not everyone can afford a dermatologist, so there are at-home options. Glycolic acid is a great ingredient to look for. This glycolic acid peel by QRX Labs is professional grade but can be used at home.
Hello! I have this problem where I have used many different types of lotion for my body and I put a good amount on, yet after a short period of time, my skin gets really dry and flaky and I have no idea what to do!
Hi Marcela, please have a look at our dry skin care page for more information on treating dry skin.
