Their products are easy to choose based on your skin concerns, and are formulated with amazing, active ingredients to get true results.

Some might think that 6 products is not enough for matching your skin type, but less is more! These 6 products have been given the attention they deserve, with full thought of each ingredient and the performance of science and nature combined to get amazing results.

Here is a two part Video with the founder of Kypris, Chase Polan. I greatly encourage you to take the time and watch these videos, as it will give you a glimpse into what I can only hope is the future of skin care.

These two videos are a great introduction into Kypris’ entire line of skin care products. Chase teaches you how to create a micro-emulsion that will transform your skin.

My Review

My First Impression of the Product

The liquid in this bottle looks far more active and interesting than other serums I have seen. There is a magical consistency, I know that might sound washy, but truly I look at the Moonlight Catalyst and see a liquid that looks like a potion. Very exciting.

Kypris-Moonlight-Catalyst-Review

Perhaps the Moonlight Catalyst is a bit of a potion, boasting 16 active, natural ingredients that help soften and exfoliate the skin. Feeling a little like magic, this serum is not like any other. Fermented pumpkin enzymes start a herbal retinoid preparation without any harsh chemicals, redness, peeling, or thinning of skin. These enzymes soften the skin and decrease the appearance of environmentally stressed or imbalanced complexions.

The more familiar I became with this line the more I realized what direction we need to go with our skin care. I can only hope that we move towards this kind of thinking and action in our skin care future. By using fruit enzymes and natural ingredients, mixed with science, we can achieve amazing skin care results free from chemicals or synthetic treatments.

Scent and Texture

There is a slight peach scent, very subtle. A pleasant scent before bed, nothing too overpowering. The texture is very smooth. It absorbs quickly with no residue.

Moonlight Catalyst Review

Application

Kypris Moonlight Catalyst feels soft and smooth, very silky when you apply it to the skin. You need a little more than I thought for application to get full coverage, I used double the amount called for. The directions recommended 1-2 drops, I used 4 drops minimum.

The skin feels very soft and supple, full of life and moisture. My skin feels full, as if I had a collagen injection. That might sound a bit over the top, but I honestly feel the skin has been plumped. I have not experienced that before with other serums.

Price and Size

Moonlight Catalyst Review

$72 USD / $93.50 CAD for 47 ml

Who is this product for?

This product is for most skin types.

This product is for anyone looking to improve hydration and exfoliation to the skin, without mechanical, or abrasive exfoliating.

Hydrating botanical extracts refine and renew your complexion without irritation or peeling.

  • Enhances cellular renewal
  • Refines texture
  • Helps keep pores clear
  • Evens skin tone
  • Diminishes evidence of previous blemishes
  • Free from essential oils to accommodate reactive skin
  • Calms, soothes, and plumps to a radiant, creamy glow

How well does it work?

What I found most beneficial from the Moonlight Catalyst Serum is my face feels plump and full. I have not had this feeling before, my complexion is even and supple. I am using a more concentrated application under the eyes and on the cheeks.

The plump and fullness is a direct result of excellent hydration. My skin looks younger because this serum is especially beneficial for environmentally stressed skin.

As much as you will love this serum, you can not use it during the day. The ingredients, when exposed to sunlight can overreact on the skin. This will cause irritation. The Moonlight Catalyst is a companion for night.

Final Thoughts

Night time has become a more thoughtful and precious time. My evening ritual, when the moonlight starts to shine, I am reminded to take care of my skin. I wash my face, and bask in my Moonlight Catalyst Serum. I am so pleased to know my slumber brings amazing skin.

I have been slightly hypnotized by this product. I love the feeling I get when I use it. I love how it reminds me of a magical potion. I do not know were these child-like feelings come from, but I will embrace them 🙂

I love that my skin feels plump and smooth, full of hydration, with any stressed complexion cleared from my skin.

Pros:

This product works. Its just amazing that there is a high performance serum that helps the skin while you sleep. You achieve the benefits Kypris has intended. I have included this product into my life and I love using it. I am always pleased to feel the fullness and smooth texture to my skin. I especially love the renewed look I wake with each morning.

  • Works wonders
  • Skin is full and plump
  • Complexion is smooth
  • Skin texture is smooth
  • Skin is well hydrated
  • Pumpkin enzymes exfoliate. My skin feels clear.

Cons:

I do have one con with this serum, I feel I have to apply more than I want to. I will likely go through my serum faster than maybe intended. This simply could be my skin type, soaking up the product. Either way, I am still going to use it until the last drop and ask Kypris to send me a bucket next time 🙂

  • I use more product than I would like to get full coverage.

My Rating:

I have given this product a 9/10 rating because it works at gently exfoliating my skin through the night, the ingredients are impeccable, and the brand is dedicated to natural skin care that is backed by science. I love my nightly routine now, and I am sure you will too if you decide to include the Moonlight Catalyst in yours.

This might be a good product, but it will be one I do not try at all. I’m sorry, but that’s why I buy organic. When I’m buying a serum, cream, etc. I don’t want my first few ingredients to be water or glycerin. Water being the first ingredient, it’s water down. Glycerin in not a good ingredient at all. When buying a pumpkin serum that should be the first ingredient, or Rosehip oil that should be at the top of the list also not bottom, or middle. When buying your products they should be organic, that means it will have the ingredients you want, not 20 bad ingredients you don’t want. Try looking at the ingredients for organic you will see a big difference, yes more money, but well worth it.

Hi Stephanie, Thanks for taking the time to comment. Kypris is an exceptional brand that takes making natural products very seriously. This product may not be “organic” but it is free of anything toxic. I used to think water as an ingredient was not a good thing, then I learned more about it from a product formulator. You can read about water in skin care here.

Glycerin is a humectant that draws moisture into your skin, it also forms a protective layer. Glycerin’s ability to pull moisture to the skin is dependent on climate, so in dry climates, it can actually dry out your skin. Glycerin is best combined with other emollients and occlusive ingredients. I don’t even see Rosehip seed oil in the ingredients list, I see rosehip extract, so not sure if it is an oil or not.

I think this is a good product, and worth buying. You can learn more about Kypris by visiting their website.
