Me and my sister Andrea are fortunate to work with some of the best organic skin care companies up close and personal. I love being able to communicate directly with the owners. It becomes very real. I recently asked Happy Skin Care a few questions, and they responded with enthusiasm.
Happy Skin Care has some of the best customer service. Their Owners, Phoebe and Aaron are continually communicating and checking in with their clients. I am so pleased, considering how busy they must be, when they take the time to keep in touch. This builds trust, and that is something we need when considering where to buy our products. So let me share with you the lovely response I had when asking them a few questions.
What would you love to see change in the beauty industry?
Happy Skin Care’s Response: “We would love to see some reality and honesty brought back into the beauty industry with a change to labeling of natural and organic ingredients. It’s incredible how many brands are posing as natural and organic but their products may only have 1 natural ingredient, with the rest of the product made up of parabens, fragrances, colors and synthetic fillers.
We make a point of labeling our products clearly with the percentage of both natural and organic ingredients. All of our ingredients are 100% natural, but organic ingredients vary up to about 95% (we try to keep our products affordable which is why we don’t make things 100% organic).
We think this kind of labeling would totally transform the industry. A lot of people would reconsider their purchases if they all read 0% natural and 0% organic as they perused the supermarket shelves! ”
And what does beauty really mean to you?
“At the risk of sounding a little cliche, beauty is much more than having nice skin, hair or figure. Real beauty is something accidental that happens when you feel happy and content within yourself. You don’t need to love every feature of yourself, but if you accept your shortcomings and don’t beat yourself up over them, you’d be amazed at the weight lifted off your shoulders. You’re no longer worried about what others think of you and your inner beauty shines through. When you meet someone who isn’t worried about the opinions of others it’s hard to put your finger on but they have a genuine glow and radiance, and seem to attract others to them.”
