Summer is just around the corner, and that means our skin must be prepared for the scorching sunrays. However, exposure to the sun has its positive sides as it has the negative ones. While tanning is a great way to treat certain skin problems, it can also cause many other problems, which is why skin calls for special attention during the hot summer days.

Remedies for Skin Protection

The reason why we should pay special attention to the skin care during summer is that skin becomes dull, oily and blemished during the summer season. Due to the often exposure to UV rays of the sun skin results both in tanning, and sometimes in dark patches and wrinkles. Natural remedies are the best way to prepare the skin for the sun, treat sunburn and remove skin tan.

The first in line of the great natural skin remedies includes a pack made of turmeric powder, yogurt and honey. Turmeric powder is best-known antiseptic and anti-bacterial agent, and it is perfect for treating cuts and burns. Furthermore, it is great for treating numerous skin diseases. Honey provides moisture to the skin and helps heal wounds. The body is much subjected to dehydration during the summer, so it is essential to keep it moist by applying a mask made of turmeric powder, yogurt and honey. Apply it to the dry skin and keep it on the skin for 15-20 minutes. After you wash it with cold water, you will have the glowing moisturized skin.

A face pack made of sandalwood and rosewater is one of the best skin cleansers. Sandalwood is highly beneficial for acne problems. Severe sunburn and suntan can also be relieved thanks to the soothing properties of sandalwood. Rosewater cleanses, tones, and leaves the skin perfectly refreshed. You can apply a thick paste made of these two ingredients to the skin and leave it for 20 minutes, and later wash it over with water. However, acne problems can sometimes be more serious in which case it is best to turn to the dermatologist or have some of the best acne treatments many clinics offer.

Lemon has multiple medical and cosmetic benefits, and it is also used in numerous skin care products and hair care remedies. Considering lemon acts as a bleaching agent, it is perfect for lightening the skin. Aloe Vera produces natural antiseptics that help the organism get rid of all the bacteria, viruses and fungi that pollution and dust can cause to appear on the skin. A paste made of lemon juice and Aloe Vera leaves will cleanse the skin and prevent the skin from getting a tan.Love-Heart-Made-With-Hands-At-Sunset_

Conclusion

Regardless of the fact that it can be harmful for the skin, the sun also has its good sides and can help various skin problems. Eczema, acne, and psoriasis are problems that cause a great amount of discomfort to those who deal with them, and one of the best ways to neutralize it is to have a lot of exposure to the sun. Affected areas of skin should be exposed to the sun for 30 minutes before they are covered up with sunscreen. It is important to say that the skin should never burn, especially the one with skin problems. Moreover, some researchers have shown that the moderate exposure to sun can be useful to prevent cancer. However, sometimes acne problems can be complicated and then the sun is not of much help. Therefore, a patient should turn to some of the various acne treatments, or visit a dermatologist.
