My Review

About the Brand

CV Skinlabs takes the safety of their products seriously, they never use ingredients that have any potential of being toxic.

Specializing in sensitive skin, each of their products is formulated to calm, soothe, nourish and protect.

They work especially well for skin that has been compromised by environmental aggressors, hormonal shifts, psoriasis, eczema and rosacea, chemical sensitivity, dermatological treatments (microdermabrasion, chemical peels and lasers) and reactions to medication and illness.

Learn more about CV Skinlabs from it founder Britta Aragon:

My First Impression

I like this lotion, it doesn’t have a smell and it instantly moisturizes. I have been using it on my hands, as they get quite dry from constant cleaning, cooking, and gardening.

Moisturizer is my hand’s best friend, and I use it often, so I want it to be free from chemicals and heavy scents.

I used this moisturizer on a patch of eczema I had on my leg, and it really did soothe it. My eczema was in a dry phase, so the hydration was really needed.

Scent and Texture

No scent, CV Skinlabs avoids using essential oils in their products as they can be irritating to some individuals.

Application

Goes on well, the cream is not heavy, it is lightweight and absorbs well. It brings instant hydration and does not leave a greasy residue.

Thanks for your question Tash, This moisturizer has a base of aloe vera juice, with oils following in the ingredients list. So I am not sure if it would be classified as water or oil-based. It is definitely not oil free, but there is no water in it. I guess it is aloe vera juice based 🙂
