If you are looking for something to reduce wrinkles, look no further than these three top organic wrinkle treatments. If you are like me, you want to find products that work, products that will do what they claim to do. We have spent hours reading and researching to bring you the top three organic wrinkle creams on the market today.
In this article you will learn:
- Do Wrinkle Creams Work?
- The Best Anti-Aging Ingredients
- What is Better: Isolated or Whole Plant Ingredients?
- Our Pick for the Top 3 Organic Wrinkle Creams
Do Organic Wrinkle Creams Work?
Wrinkle cream ingredients diminish the signs of aging by:
- Stimulating collagen production, leading to firmer skin.
- Hydrating and plumping the skin so that wrinkles are less visible.
- Delivering antioxidants that can reduce and repair sun damage.
When you take care of your skin and use a product containing potent antioxidants, your deep lines can look less noticeable. When your skin looks healthy and moisturized, lines are not as pronounced. When your skin is dry and flaky, lines are accentuated.
With consistent use of anti-aging creams and oils, your skin will not produce as many new wrinkles or fine lines. You will notice that you look younger than your friends who don’t use nourishing facial products.
While we can’t stop the clock entirely, we can keep our skin nourished and hydrated so that it ages less quickly. We can prevent sun damage and the discoloration that comes with it; we can slow line development by keeping our skin hydrated.
If we use products that stimulate collagen production, we can keep our skin looking firmer and fuller. If we use potent antioxidants, we can prevent and repair damage from the elements.
The creams I recommend will nourish your skin; they will keep it looking the brightest and firmest that it can – they will help you age gracefully.
What Are the Best Anti-Aging Ingredients?
For daily use, the best natural anti-aging ingredients are:
- Vitamin C – stimulates collagen production (source), reduces hyper-pigmentation (source) and fights free radicals.
- Vitamin E – a powerful antioxidant (source) that protects and repairs the skin and also stimulates collagen production. Many plant oils and plant butters are high in vitamin E.
- Carotenoids and Carotenes – precursors of Vitamin A that have been shown to change to Vitamin A (retinol) on the skin when applied topically (source). Vitamin A is one of the most potent anti-aging vitamins known. It increases collagen production, help fade sun spots, and research is showing it may help build elastin.
- Other Antioxidants -flavonoids (flavones, isoflavones, flavanones, anthocyanins and catechins), polyphenols (ellagic acid, gallic acid, and tannins). Antioxidants repair and prevent damage to the cells in the skin.
- Peptides - The building blocks of proteins. Can help skin stay firmer and younger looking (source).
- Hyaluronic Acid – a powerful humectant (aka moisture-binding ingredient) that keeps skin plump and hydrated.
Isolated or Whole Ingredients?
There are two different groups of organic, anti-aging products:
- Those that use, isolated or lab-synthesized ingredients such as vitamin C from ascorbic acid, peptides like Maxitryl, and synthetic retinol. The effects of these isolated compounds can be studied, and a high level of control over quality and quantity is easy to achieve.
- Those that utilize whole plant extracts, the plants are providing the vitamin C, peptides or retinol. The plant’s medicine is left in a whole state, with its qualities thoroughly infused into oil or alcohol
Which is better?
A mixture of isolated compounds and whole plants will give you the best of both worlds. Plants can provide an excellent range of vitamins and antioxidants, while a few isolated ingredients can work at targeting your skin concern.

What is your anti-aging routine?
Yours In Beauty,
Andrea
Great post… wrinkle creams are something I’ve often considered incorporating into my daily regime, but never really had the chance to look further into it… what sort of age would you suggest people start using these creams??
Thank you for sharing!!
I think the earlier you start, the better. Prevention works better than trying to cure.
If you can start using anti-aging treatments in your late 20’s, you will prevent a lot of damage. Most people wait until they start seeing wrinkles, but we would be better off using creams before we start noticing fine lines.
Looking through the ingredients for your recommended best organic wrinkle creams, I was thoroughly impressed.
Most of the ingredients are food! Which makes sense because our skin absorbs the stuff we put on it. So using this oil on our skin is almost like eating it.
Of course anything with cocoa in it has to be good. I’m a big fan of cocoa and eat it in banana smoothies. I knew it had strong antioxidant properties. It’s also high in magnesium. That’s probably good for the skin too.
Hibiscus which actually has one of the highest concentrations of antioxidants found anywhere.
Dr. Michael Greger M.D. of The Institute of Lifestyle Medicine, recommends we drink hibiscus tea throughout the day to counter the effects of aging.
These wrinkle creams are loaded with good stuff, I have no doubt they work.
I love banana and cocoa smoothies!
You are right, magnesium is great for the skin, as it is essential for healthy DNA repair and replication. Magnesium deficiency can actually manifest as skin problems such as eczema.
When magnesium is deficient, our skin’s fatty acid levels drop, reducing elasticity and moisture, and leading to dryness and inflammation. It also causes our bodies to produce histamines, these histamines cause itchy and red skin.
I did not know that hibiscus was so full of antioxidants! I love hibiscus tea with honey, it is delicious.
Thanks for your comment, G.C Horton
I have never heard of this brand, but it sounds lovely. I like the idea of using organic products as it makes sense especially on your face to take extra care to not load it with toxins.
I am 40 (just) eek, and I am really starting to see lines and wrinkles and feel myself heading down a slippery slope. Is there any of these you would recommend specifically for someone of my age, as I know sometimes these products can be age related?
Thanks for your comment Ruth. It depends a lot on your skin type. I would say that the Arctic Berry Peptide Radiance cream would be worth a shot for you. It is robust enough for older ages and works on all skin types.
Hi Andrea,
Thank you for a great post. I always try to go for organic products and your post is a welcome read. The product, Eminence Organics Monoi Age Corrective Night Cream seems to be a great cream. I also like the fact that the company
honors the planet and the people that work with them and that they are about accountability, transparency and honesty.
It is definitely a product that I would look into. Do you find that many customers are buying this product? Thanks.
Thank you Rodney. Eminence makes beautiful creams. They are a high-quality brand that continuously receives awards for their products. This cream is one of their best-sellers with thousands of people buying and enjoying it.
Can you recommend a good organic night cream, face wash, and sunscreen
This post is great!!
Thank you
Ann
Thanks so much 🙂
It would depend on your skin type Ann, but I do have a list of the best organic products (including the products you are wondering about) that are suitable for all skin types, you can read it here: The Best Products
Hi Andrea ,I’m 46 and my skin has some fine lines. It can breakout with the “wrong” products.
I’m looking for hydration, something that will get rid of discoloration, and ease the fine lines.
Hi Ann 🙂 It is hard for me to recommend products when I don’t know what your particular skin type is. What do you mean when you say the “wrong” products? Have you ever tried facial oils? I love facial oils as my moisturizer. They are much more simple with less ingredients that could potentially irritate your skin.
I would recommend Amala’s Rejuvenate Treatment Oil (read my review here).
Or Amala’s Brightening Concentrate which is made to target skin discolorations.
Let me know if you have any further questions 🙂
I’m really happy to know about this skin care line. I’m almost as fussy about what I put on my skin as what I put in my body…because skin is an organ that ‘eats’ and ‘digests’ whatever we put on it. I see that maze (corn) oil is one of the ingredients in the night cream. Do you know if it’s GMO free corn oil? The peptide radiance cream looks amazing. How long have you been using it? My skin is super sensitive, so I need to be careful. Thanks for your great post.
Hi Jackie, thanks for your comment and questions 🙂 I do believe that Eminence avoids GMO ingredients. I have not personally tried the peptide cream, but I have used other Eminence’s products and they have all been wonderful. Their moisturizers work really well at hydrating the skin.
update: I have tried the peptide cream. Read my review here.
I love this info, and the creams look amazing! My issue is that I need a anti-aging cream that’s a bit more affordable. Is there anything similar you like, that’s quite a bit less? Thanks!
Hi Tiffany, you are right that these are pricey creams, the nice thing is that they last quite a few months, so they are economical that way. If you want something that is more affordable, try out Amara Organics Anti-Aging Face Cream.
You should be careful as to read their ingredients they’re quite sneaky! For example, most of their products contain vitamin E or C in it and some of their products contain sodium benzoate when you combined the two that can form into Carregeen which is a knowen factor of cancer and breaks down your DNA cells. The new type of hiding sodium benzoate in products is Honeysuckle, Cranberrys and Green Apple stem cell. It a natural form of sodium benzoate however when still combined with vitamin C and E even if your multivitamin has either C or E in it still contains the same breakdown. Do your homework and read the ingredients and you’ll find out for yourself this company isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. I know because I used to use quite a few a products in their line and found out for myself and personally their eye creams don’t work for anything they’re just overpriced moisturizers.
Good to know 🙂 I will have to look into it, thanks for sharing 😀
Sodium Benzoate and butylene glycol are both bad for you. The sugar plum oil free looks ok but the ingredients list seems “off” compared to the others.
The Sugar Plum moisturizer has a much shorter ingredients list, and I am not sure why. I also don’t understand why they just say “cream base” and do not go into detail as to what is in the “cream base”. I know that there are a couple of questionable ingredients in the above moisturizers, but I feel that they are not an extreme hazard. You can learn more about sodium benzoate on Truth in Aging and you can read the latest report on this ingredient from the personal care council. Butylene glycol has a low hazard rating of 1 on Skin Deep, Sodium benzoate has a moderate hazard rating on Skin Deep.
I will inquire with Eminence about their use of these ingredients so I can give you more information 🙂
I had a chat with an Eminence rep on their website about the ingredients in question here. The lady I was chatting with told me she would send me an email with more information, but the email she sent was not very informative. Here is what I have learned from our chat. The sodium benzoate and butylene glycol they use is derived from plant sources. Sodium benzoate is used as a preservative. The rep told me that the study about Sodium benzoate and vitamin c creating benzene was done using cans of pop, so it doesn’t apply to skin care creams. The Butylene Glycol in the Arctic Berry Peptide Radiance Cream is used to help deliver the Butcher’s Broom, Gotu Kola and Calendula extract into the skin and is derived from a vegetal origin.
C, is there a skincare line you recommend??
I used these products on my face and destroyed my skin. I developed red sores all over. After discontinuing the products my skin finally healed. I would definitely never recommend using these facial products if your skin is at all sensitive!
That is really too bad! Not every product works on everyones skin. Which of the products did you use? All three, or just one of them? Where did you purchase your products? If you don’t purchase from an authorized dealer, you have no way of knowing if the products are counterfeits or if they are out-dated. That is why we do not recommend purchasing Eminence on Amazon.
The key is to find a product that is effective and also inexpensive enough so that you can replenish your supply whenever needed without too much worry about the cost.
Ideally, you want to start using an effective, reliable product when you are in your late twenties and continue this skin care regime as you age. The commitment to caring for your skin on a daily basis is a choice you’ll appreciate when you’re older than you are now.
That is so true Anna, thanks for stopping in!
I am 30 and started to see fine lines in my face plus hyper pigmentation .Thing that i didn’t have five years ago.
but back in time i used a lot of home made mask with natural products that i have home. but in the last five year i did not.
Now i am starting a new journey to start taking care of my skin again and give it back the glow that i use to have.
i find the introduction in this post very interesting. i am trying to understand more what causes skin aging and other skin problems. i am also looking for good natural ingredients for my hair routine.
i did a list of the natural source that i found on internet and i will try to purchase them and make my own skin care products. but i am a bit afraid of mixing things .
i find it interesting to try new things that i make my self.
I am in my thirties and getting used to my new skin. The majority of eye creams irritate my sensitive skin. But I now have been using the Made from Earth Chamomile Eye Therapy and my eyes look great! I am using this with their Vitamin Enhanced Firming Serum and my skin has never looked better. Fine lines reduced and less tired looking than I actually feel! And I love that its organic and all natural ingredients. Nothing toxic!
Hi Marissa, Thanks for sharing with us what has worked for you 🙂
