Want to Give Your Honey a Sweet Massage for Valentines Day?

What better way to say I love you then a massage?

You don’t need much to give a great massage, you just need a space to do it and some massage oils so your hands glide effortlessly over the skin and muscles.

If you want to make your own massage oil, you will need a carrier oil and some essential oils for fragrance. Below I will list the most common massage oils as well as some scent blend ideas for creating a sensual mood.

If you want an already made massage oil, I will give you my recommendations below.

Straight-up Organic Oils

If you want to keep it simple, these oils will do the trick. I recommend getting oils from Aura Cacia, they are affordable and come in a dark container.

Sweet Almond Oil - a popular massage oil because it spreads well and absorbs quickly; it doesn’t leave the skin feeling greasy. It has a low smell and is reasonably priced. It isn’t suitable for people with nut allergies.

Aura Cacia jojoba oil

Jojoba Oil - has a long shelf life so it won’t go rancid. If you don’t do massages very often, this may be the best option for you. A rancid oil is no fun to massage with, and your other oils will go rancid if you don’t use them up quickly. Jojoba oil is quickly absorbed so you may need to apply more, or mix with another oil. It is gentle and non-irritating, but is a more pricey oil.

Grapeseed Oil - another oil that spreads well and doesn’t leave a greasy feeling. It is a bit more expensive then almond oil but cheaper then Jojoba oil.

Apricot Seed Oil - Similar in color and texture to almond oil but more pricey. It is rich in vitamin E so it has a longer shelf life. It absorbs well and doesn’t leave the skin greasy.

You can get these oils at your local health food store or they can be purchased online at Amazon.

Essential Oils Blends for a Sensual Mood

Make sure to do a patch-test of your blend to see if there is an allergic reaction. Wait 20 minutes and look for any redness or swelling. Since some oils can make your skin more sensitive to UV damage, use sun protection after applying these oils.

I get my oils online at Amazon. I like the brand Aura Cacia.

Romantic Massage Oil Blend for Valentine’s Day

  • 1 ounce carrier oil
  • 2 drops jasmine
  • 2 drops sweet orange
  • 2 drops sandalwood
  • 1 drop ylang-ylang

Mix everything in a glass jar and shake well.

Ready-Made Essential Oil Blend

If you don’t want to make your own blend, Aura Cacia has a Love Potion blend that makes it easy to turn a palm-full of carrier oil into a sensual massage blend. This blend contains Mandarin Orange, Lemon, Cardamom, Sandalwood, Patchouli, Ylang Ylang, Vetiver, and Jasmine Absolute.

Ready-Made Organic Massage Oils

Too busy to make your own blend? Or maybe you don’t want to have to buy a bunch of products. The solution? Buy a ready-made blend; nothing will stand in the way of a sensual, relaxing massage.

Here is a list of ready made massage oil blends available on Amazon:

  • Honeydew Natural Hypoallergenic Skin Therapy Sensual Massage Oil
  • Nooky Orange Blossom Massage Oil
  • Desire Sensual Massage Oil

I hope you have a lovely Valentines Day! Make sure to give your honey a kiss and tell them you love them.

Unfortunately, I never have enough time to blend my own oils so I was very excited to receive a bottle of http://www.wildfireoil.com 4 in 1 Original Pleasure Oil from my Valentine this year. I absolutely love this stuff! Not only is it a sensual massage oil, it’s also a bath oil, body oil and lubricant. I love applying it before bed, it smells devine and fills the room with as beautiful fragrance and after a few minutes it makes your skin go all soft with a powder like feel. What more could you ask for!
