Ever since the fashion industry enabled women to show more skin in all areas of the body, we have been on the search for the best hair removal device. A handy tool that can easily (and painlessly!) get the job done and deliver long(er) lasting results. I don’t know about you, but I’m not very concerned with the duration of the results so long I can use the device anywhere I want, it doesn’t cost a fortune, and it causes no pain whatsoever.

So if you’re like me, we belong to the shaving group and luckily we have plenty of options to choose from. In order to make the right decision, I made a list of 5 of the best electric shavers for women.
Some I’ve used, some are still on my to-buy list, so let’s explore the world of electric shavers together.
Electric Shavers for Women Buying Guide
Two more things before we go to the best electric shavers for women.
Decide what function is most important to you in your electric shaver.
Will it be used for your legs only? Underarms? Face? Will you need your razor for your bikini area, and if so, do you want to be able to both trim and shave or just shave? Does it need to be able to take care of multiple areas of the body for hair removal? Also, think about your preferred method of shaving.
If you like to sit on the bedside and shave, you won’t need a wet shaver. But, if you like to take care of your hair removal in the tub or the shower, you’ll have to check for the wet shave function. Be clear on what it is you want your new electric razor to do before diving into your search.
Think about where you are going to use your electric shaver
Are you always going to use it at home, and will it need a special place to sit to charge? Are you happy to plug it into a wall every time you shave? Will you want to take it with you on trips or holidays? If you take it camping, will it hold a charge?
These questions will dictate whether it’s going to be important and convenient for your razor to have a plugin cord if it should be cordless and rechargeable, if it should run on batteries, or have a combination of power options.
Panasonic ES2207P Electric Shaver
Being practical is totally my thing, which is why this shaver found its way on top of the list. Because who has the time to dry their skin and then shave? No one, right? The wet/dry shaver has plenty of handy features and functions all packed in a sleek great-value-for-your-money pack. First up it works when wet, making all over shaving much less of a chore, it’s even fully immersible, so cleaning won’t be any problem either. (Say what? Immersible? Yep, that’s a thing now), so you can use it while you are in the tub or shower. Use this Panasonic together with your favorite shaving gel (or foamy soap, if that’s the way you roll).
The second thing I really like about this shaver is the pop-up trimmer head. It’s perfect for taking down the winter layer before getting your close shave. Also, it’s really easy to take along with you in its travel pouch or hide in your room for quick touch-ups before leaving the house.
The three heads can float up and down independently, meaning that you have triple the chance of catching all the hairs in a single stroke, even if they’re at different angles, lengths, and heights. The blades are hypoallergenic and made from stainless steel for good sharpness and for longevity.
The battery life on this model is not quite what more pricey models offer, but you still get over 20 minutes of use from a full charge, more than enough for a single grooming session, plus if the charge does run out, it works with a power cable too.
ETEREAUTY 4 in 1 Ladies Electric Shaver
This fancy-looking shaver of the Etereauty is that you can use it for different parts of your body. It can be used on the face, armpits, legs, and bikini area — areas that we women need to work at to keep hair-free.
Four different heads pop on and off the power unit: a general shaver for the legs, a smaller precision shaver for the arms and bikini area, a trimmer for the bikini line, and a facial cleansing brush for gentle and thorough spa-quality skin cleansing.
An 8-hour charge will give you 120 minutes of use.
Braun Silk Epil Female Lady Shaver
This model from Braun comes as a little lighter, and smaller body when compared to the other cheaper models. The design is built to fit properly in the hand, with an ergonomic shape, and the head of the razor is rounded to glide smoothly around the curves of a lady’s body.
The blade foil is floated, giving a higher chance of cutting away all your hairs on the first try, and a long hair cutting system inside means that even longer forgotten hairs are no trouble.
The blades are made for all over body use, so there are no limitations to mention with this particular model. Just choose the appropriate attachment and shave away! You can effortlessly use this for your face, legs, and even for the most sensitive areas like the bikini line. The rounded head makes it ideal for pain-free underarm shaving too.
The battery on this model has a larger capacity, so with a full charge, you should get over 40 minutes of life. Therefore, no need to plug in between every use which is indeed handy.
Multi-Function Women’s Electric Shaver by LEADO
Don’t be fooled by the price of this amazing shaver. It’s designed for all parts of the body, and its cordless, waterproof body makes it one of the most practical shavers on the market.
There are 2 detachable attachments including 3-in-1 electric shaver and facial cleansing brush. With the shaver, you can glide gently over your curves without the fear of being cut because it protects your skin from direct contact with the razor compared with a manual razor blade.
With the facial cleansing brush expect to get a thoroughly deep facial cleansing in a more gentle, hygienic way with the soft brush. Makeup removal and skin exfoliation have never been easier. The Wet&Dry feature enables this shaver to be fully immersible for your bathtub relaxing time, or use the Dry feature instead when on the go.
Rechargeable built-in battery: Rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides up to 1 hour of cordless use. Smart Charge Indicator: The red light means the appliance is currently charging, and when it turns green, it means the battery is fully charged.
Remington WDF4840 Electric Shaver
Next up is the Remington WDF4840, this is another great entry-level electric shaver which feels like you’re getting a lot for your money.
This model is cordless, and can be used anywhere and at any time to suit your convenience, it also means that you don’t necessarily need to be near a socket for use, which is particularly handy for reaching harder to get places. This Remington is really lightweight, which is a pro, and the handle is slim and easy to hold with grip. It has a pretty good battery life, boasting around 30 minutes of use when fully charged, more than enough for most personal home grooming tasks.
With this shaver, you can shave your whole body, with smooth silky results that don’t discomfort the skin afterward. Additional heads are included for special areas like the bikini line.
Conclusion
Bottom line is, electric shavers aren’t expensive at all when you consider the cost of buying razors for manual blades over time, or especially if you use disposables. You see, once you’ve got your shaver you’ll find that your skin is smoother than ever, and your normal moisturizing and exfoliating routines will be easier, and more effective too.
What shaver will you use?
To Your Silky Smooth Skin,
Monika
HI Monika,
Thanks for writing this great review, I really appreciate that. I agree with your questions regarding how to best choose an electric shaver for women. Especially how you asked do you need wet or dry shaving? I also enjoy travelling so portability and type of power source are important to me as well. I forgot about the comment you made regarding do you want it to shave or also to trim? This is a often overlooked question. Thank you for asking that question. I was just wondering if you have had to replace any blades or other spare parts with any of these devices? Cheers
Hi Glenys, you do have to change the blades occasionally. The manual of your particular shaver will have a recommendation on how often. Most electric shavers will need blade replacements every 12 – 18 months.
hi there Monika,
Thank you kindly for creating and sharing this rather excellent article with us all, it is appreciated.
I stumbled upon this article while searching for a gift for my girlfriend. I am quite unsure as which one is best for her. She is of soft skin type and very whispy thin body hair and would require something for lasting results that can be used all over her body, including the “lady garden”. Most convienent would be for use in the shower, which one of those electric shavers do you reccommend?
Hi Derek, thanks for your question. For your girlfriend, I would recommend the Etereauty 4 in 1 electric shaver. It comes with multiple attachments for various body parts and it is waterproof so she can bring it in the shower.
My sister has been using an epilator (not sure if I spelled it right) for months. At first, she was really proud of it, but it really pinches. Theoretically, you get used to the pinching after a while, but for her, it is always a nightmare.
The funny thing about her is that she likes wearing jeans which covers up her legs most of the times anyway. Instead of using an epilator, might as well try something painless and easy going on sensitive areas like the Braun Silk Epil Shaver.
The best part about it is that it works on anywhere of the body. By the way, does the product have a warranty?
Some of the products listed have warranties. The Braun epilators all come with a 1 year limited warranty.
Thanks for this write up. I’ve been thinking of using a shaver instead of hair removal cream after developing some allergies toward the substances. I never fancy anything mechanical going through my body, but these products look small and easy to handle.
I like that some of them can be used at different parts of the body. The Etereauty is worth checking out. Will definitely get one soon.
