Natural anti-aging ingredients have come a long way. Thanks to science and passionate individuals working hard to formulate effective anti-aging products, we have a wide array of natural products to choose from.
There are many chemical anti-aging ingredients out there, but we at The Best Organic Skin Care like to stick with natural and organic. We believe, to get the most out of an anti-aging formulation, we need to avoid chemicals and synthetic ingredients that are going to put a toxic burden on our system.
There are some wonderful anti-aging ingredients out there. I have personally seen the effects of these natural ingredients on my own skin. Using these products has plumped my skin up, nourishing and moisturizing it. My skin feels amazing and I know that these products are doing the deep work that will prevent accelerated aging.
Most natural anti-aging ingredients are plant and seed oils. These oils contain the vital nutrients of the plants they are harvested from. Nature really knows how to make some potent elixirs.
Amazing and Natural Anti-Aging Ingredients
1. Rosehip oil
A natural vitamin A source, Rosehip oil is heralded as an ultimate scar healer and tissue re-generator. Clinical studies have proven it’s effectiveness at reducing scars and other damage to the skin. Rosehip oil is high in Omega 3 (linolenic acid), Omega 6 (linoleic acid), Omega 9 (oleic acid), lycopene, beta-carotene and Vitamin C. Known as a “dry oil”, rosehip oil absorbs well and doesn’t leave a shine behind.

2. Argan oil
Full of antioxidants, squalene, and essential fatty acids, Argan oil gives your skin everything it needs to stay looking young. Free radicals are mopped up, moisture is retained and tissue is healed. Argan oil is high in Vitamin E, the ultimate antioxidant vitamin. It is also high in sterolins – compounds which improve skin metabolism and promote moisture retention. All skin types benefit from this oil, but it works wonders on oily and breakout-prone skin, helping to regulate sebum production.

3. Pomegranate seed oil
Deeply nourishes our outermost layer of skin, this seed oil is naturally high in flavonoids and punicic acid (an omega 5 fatty acid). Punicic acid has strong anti-inflammatory properties and is a potent antioxidant. Useful for all skin types, this oil will help restore a normal texture to the skin and keep wrinkles at bay, without leaving a greasy residue behind.
4. Shea butter
With the ability to penetrate into the deeper layers of our skin, Shea butter offers much needed moisture and protection for our skin. Shea butter contains allantoin, a natural skin softener that acts as a lubricant, slowing water loss from the skin and forming a protective barrier. Vitamins A and E in Shea butter combat free radical damage and wrinkle formation. Phytosterols protect your skin from UV damage. Cinnamic acid reduces redness and irritation, helping wounds heal faster. Useful on all skin types and does not clog pores.
5. Cocoa Butter
The ultimate moisturizer, Cocoa butter keeps moisture in and protects your skin from the elements. Its high oleic acid (omega 9) content acts as a skin preserver. High levels of antioxidants keep Cocoa butter shelf stable for 2 – 5 years, they also help protect your skin from damage and clean up free radicals that want to age your skin. Cocoa butter is clogging to the pores, so us acne-sufferers shouldn’t use it on our faces.
May Lindstrom’s Blue Cocoon Beauty Balm contains Cocoa butter.
6. Prickly Pear Seed Oil
Also known as Barbary Fig oil, this oil is exceptionally high in Vitamin E (highest of all beauty oils) and linoleic acid. It protects against free radical damage, stimulates new cell growth and soothes inflammation. It reduces hyper-pigmentation, plumps the skin and minimizes fine lines and wrinkles. Prickly Pear is great for all skin types, but is especially excellent for mature skin that needs an extra boost of moisture and antioxidants.
7. Green tea
Packed full of antioxidants, Green tea makes a great drink, but it also makes a great topical anti-aging ingredient. Reducing sun damage and possibly protecting against skin cancer, green tea polyphenols may slow the signs of aging by fighting free radicals and inflammation.
8. Hyaluronic Acid
Our skin naturally produces Hyaluronic Acid, but over time it wanes. This compound helps hold moisture in our skin and stimulates the production of collagen. It helps transport waste matter from cells and speeds wound healing. The ability of HA to hold 1000 times its weight in water makes it an excellent moisturizer and skin plumper, reducing fine lines and wrinkles.
Odacite’s Night Time Repair Serum contains Hyaluronic Acid.

Hello, Andrea
At 34 years old, I am beginning to see wrinkles slowly developing around the eyes and lines on my forehead, so not good at all! 🙁 LOL.
Thanks for recommending the anti-aging ingredients above and I have bookmarked this page for when I’m ready to apply your recommendations.
Cheers. Neil
Hi Neil, thanks for dropping in! I would recommend getting one of the above mentioned oils and applying it on your face twice a day after you wash. It is never too early to start when it comes to preventing wrinkles. My favorite is Argan oil and Prickly Pear oil.
