Such a nice article thanks we liked it.
You are welcome Clinton!
“I wanna eat my beard” actually made me laugh out loud. Great article and the recipes sound good. Thanks for sharing!
HAHA, thanks Jennifer 😀
Hi! is the 2 tsp carrier oil the only oil in the recipes? Trying to figure out how much I need for a 2 oz bottle. Thanks!
Hi Sandi, 2 tsp is 10 ml….2 oz is almost 60 ml…so you would need 12 tsp of carrier oil. The carrier oils are not the only oil in the recipe, you also have essential oils. If you want to do a 2 oz bottle, then I would make a blend with 10 tsp (approx 50 ml) of carrier oil and 30 drops of essential oils. This will fit in your 2 oz bottle.
Hope that helps, let my know if you have any other questions!

What would you recommend mixing, in regards essential oils, if I want to make a root beer scent?
To get a root beer scent use these essential oils: wintergreen, camphor, peppermint, black pepper, vetiver, and lemongrass 🙂
Trying to make a baby powder smell any help or a barber shop smell thanks
Hi Jacob, for a baby powder scent you will want to play around with vanilla, rose, ylang-ylang, and jasmine. I have also heard that violet essential oil smells like baby powder.
I read that you should dilute your essential oils … is this recommended? How would I go about doing this?
Hi Melissa, thanks for your question. Yes, essential oils do need to be diluted 🙂 All of the recipes above are for a 2% dilution rate, a perfect dilution level for skin care use. There is a really handy dilution rate chart here.
Always use DIY oils as they are alcohol free. Carrier oils i use castor and coconut. Essential oils i use tea tree, rosemary, eucalyptus, lavender, peppermint. Works for my beard.
That sounds like a good blend!
