Have you ever looked in the mirror and been disappointed with the health of your skin? Everyone wants to maintain a younger glow but let’s face it, wrinkles, dryness, dark spots, and other signs of aging continuously appear as time goes on.

What if there were easy practices you could follow to prevent aging skin for a youthful look? Well, there are multiple habits you can incorporate into your morning routine!

Take a look at five beauty tips you can practice to get the ageless skin.

1. Use Sunscreen

Although the sun provides vitamin D, too much of it can prematurely age your skin; known as “photoaging”. Generously apply sunscreen to your skin for protection. Do this even on a cloudy day as harmful UV rays can penetrate through the cloud cover. Take sunscreen with you in case you may need to reapply it later. Areas you should apply sunscreen to include:

  • Face
  • Shoulders
  • Arms
  • Neck
  • Chest

Take extra preventative measures by dressing in a way to keep you shaded; like with a jacket, sunglasses, or hat.

2. Avoid Skin Irritation

An important step to get ageless skin that is overlooked is not irritating your skin. If you see a pimple or blemish, don’t pick at it. Use a gentle cleanser or blemish remover for acne. Some morning face washes may already include an acne cleanser in their formula.

If your face is not oily or does not necessarily require a wash, occasionally skip it if you can. Washing your skin too much can quickly dry it out.

If you have sensitive skin or negatively respond to a beauty product, avoid it no matter how effective it claims to be. Even if it is a popular product for good reason, using it on your skin when your skin is unable to positively respond to it will do more harm than good.

These products can include body or face wash, lotions, cleansers, makeup, and deodorants. If your underarms are sensitive, consider researching what the best deodorant for sensitive skin is.

3. Intake Healthy Foods and Drinks

Your skin will respond to what you intake in your body. If you are eating fatty, junk food and drinking sugary drinks, your skin may break out or not receive moisture. Healthy proteins that support beauty and structure in the skin should be added to your breakfast. Some good options are:

  • Eggs
  • Nuts
  • Lean red meat
  • Yogurt
  • High-protein vegetables like mushrooms

Also, add berries to yogurt or oatmeal to supply vitamin C and antioxidants needed for radiant skin. Make sure you drink plenty of water since water is the best, natural way to moisturize skin. Green tea fights cell damage and slows down aging thanks to rejuvenating antioxidants and flavonoids.

4. Be Cautious of Products

Piggybacking on avoiding harsh skin products, ageless skin comes with knowing the right stuff to put on it.

First, apply your moisturizer daily to help reduce fine lines and wrinkles. Antioxidant serums protect and moisturize your skin with essential nutrients like vitamins A, C, and E. Make sure what you use does not include harmful ingredients in the product like:

  • Retinoic acid
  • Aminophenol
  • Triclocarban
  • BHA
  • Polyethylene
  • Diaminobenzene

If you keep mineral water in a spray bottle, you can use it as a moisturizing mist. Place it in the fridge to cool it for reducing skin puffiness.

5. Practice Good Habits

Anything you do with your body will affect your skin. Here are positive skincare habits you can squeeze into your everyday routine:

  • Healthy diet
  • Exercise/stretch
  • Train indoors
  • Stop smoking
  • Avoid sunlamps

Conclusion

Start practicing healthy skincare today! You do not have to take on a mass project to get the ageless skin. Use the previous five skincare habits mentioned in your morning routine to help make your skin look flawlessly timeless!
